The classrooms that I'm working in are very diverse. Honestly, I can't think of 3 caucasian children that I've interacted with. The majority of the students are Hispanic-American, Black, or Asian. They all speak english very well, but some of the kids prefer to speak to me in spanish. It seems that at home their parents are balancing out the two languages with their kids, which is good. I've never been to a school where the only white people were the faculty and myself, so it's a very different experience for myself.
